I chose the belltower and tied a small gold painting of a city to the wall up there, then watched it weather

Ormond College Welcomes New Art was an exhibition curated by Tony Clarke during his residency at Ormond College, Melbourne University in 1987. He invited various artists to place site specific works wherever they wished around the College. I chose the belltower and tied a small gold painting of a city to the wall up there. Looking out from the tower you could see many actual city views.
At the end of the period of the exhibition I noted the effects of time and the weather; birds had pecked holes in the canvas, the gold had dulled and the stretched edges of the canvas had gone slack.
